The Silicon Valley-based superintelligence company, Deepinvent, hosted the first international #Deepinvent4Good Inventathon on August 7th through August 21st, 2025. Hundreds of innovators from around the world competed online to see who had the best and most groundbreaking invention ideas. Participants utilized the advanced AI-based Deepinvent platform to develop and submit their innovation ideas to a panel of judges with expertise in science and technology.
As it turned out, over 300 innovative submissions from 10 countries and 14 different industries were submitted online. Dr. Marcus Weller, the CEO and founder of Deepinvent.ai, along with a panel of distinguished judges, evaluated each submission to determine which ones had the most potential to change the world and contribute to humanity’s progress.
The judges included:

Deciding on the winners was no easy task, as many of the submissions were both meaningful and impressive. However, in the end, only three top winners could be selected for the main prizes. Those winners were as follows:
First Place Winner: Laura Brown
Laura Brown from the United States was the first-place winner. She won the grand prize of $10,000 and a lifetime subscription to the Deepinvent.ai platform. Her submission was entitled the “Integrated Roadway Animal Presence and Deterrence System with V2X Communication.”
Millions of animals are killed on roadways across the world each year due to collisions with moving vehicles. While many of the kills don’t harm drivers or their vehicles, others involving bigger animals can injure drivers or damage their cars significantly. In some cases, drivers have even died from crashing into animals like deer on the road.
Brown invented a system that blends V2X communication technology with autonomous traffic sensory tools. It was designed specifically to detect and deter wildlife animals on roads, helping to prevent drivers from crashing into them. Not only does this protect the animals, but it also protects the drivers and their vehicles, too.
The idea is to install this system on roadways known for being the migratory routes of local wild animals, where the majority of fatal wildlife collisions occur. If successful, this system could save the lives of millions of animals each year while keeping millions of drivers safe in the process.
Second Place Winner: Alessandro De Angelis
Alessandro De Angelis from Germany was the second-place winner. He won a lifetime subscription to the Deepinvent.ai platform only. There was no cash prize for the second-place winner.
His submission was the “Real-Time Quantum-Inspired Emotional State Encoding and Adaptive Sound Synthesis System (KÚMA).” It is a system that combines the technological innovativeness of music therapy, quantum mechanics, and neuroscience to improve a person’s mental health and cognition.
Essentially, the system captures biometric signals from a person, including heart rate variability, EEG brainwave patterns, and other physiological data, and converts them into personalized therapeutic sounds that help stimulate their mental focus and overall well-being. The judges believe that this quantum-inspired sound engine could be the key to advancing neuro-rehabilitation in individuals who require it.
Third Place Winner: Brian Cliette
Brian Cliette from the United States was the third-place winner for his submission of the “Hybrid Dual-Functional Magnetic-Electro Filter Cartridge with Smart Sensing, Adaptive Regeneration, and Integrated High-Efficiency PFAS/Microplastic Waste Management.” The prize was a one-year subscription to Deepinvent.ai.
This invention addresses two environmental problems facing the world’s water supplies: perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and microplastics. The filter cartridge utilizes both automated magnetic and electrochemical processes to efficiently filter contaminants from water, while regenerating to minimize waste and extend its lifespan.
Cliette was inspired to create this invention after going on a family vacation. He collaborated with his children to develop this unique filter cartridge, unlike any other on the market. If successful, it could help address the global health crisis related to the influx of microplastics and long-lasting chemicals, such as PFAS, in our water supplies.
The Criteria for Choosing the Winners
The panel of judges weighed the submissions against five specific criteria to determine the winners. The requirements included the following:
- 35% impact
- 25% innovation and reach
- 15% social proof
- 15% user-informed invention
- 10% technical execution
As a result of this framework, the top projects chosen were those deemed quickly scalable and capable of significantly benefiting humanity and the entire world. The three primary winners were obviously viewed as the most significant to society, but other invention submissions were also honored.
Some of the most honorable innovation mentions included:
- Carlos Leon of France developed the “EcoBalance Score System for Dynamic Urban Environmental Management,” which evaluates urban environmental health in real-time.
- Néstor Nicolás Campos Rojas of Chile created the “Smart Biofilm-Integrated Adaptive Textile Systems with Embedded Portable Bioreactors,” an advanced textile technology that can help protect people when exposed to extreme environments.
- Žan Ožbot of Slovenia invented the “Accelerating Rare Disease Therapeutics: A Comprehensive AI System for Target Identification, Molecule Design, and Virtual Trials.” It is an AI-powered system that can identify and design key treatments for rare diseases.
- Eimis Pacheco of the United States introduced the “Global, AI-Driven Gamified Talent Fingerprinting Platform,” a system that uses AI and gamification to find talented people worldwide, especially those in low-resource locations.
